In January 2019, young brewer Ulrich Straub brewed his own beer for the first time in the old "Farrenstall" in Zimmern im Donaubergland. Since May 2024, the beer has been brewed in the new event brewery in Immendingen in DonauBierland, directly on the Danube Cycle Path (https://www.donaubergland.de/donauradweg/). The trained brewer is driven by creativity, curiosity, and the goal of introducing the Donaubergland region, the DonauBierland, to very special beers. Since then, he has created different types of beer, tried out many ingredients, and tested many of his ideas. His great-grandfather and grandfather also brewed delicious regional beer. High demand led him to bottle beer on a larger scale, and since then, "Donauperle" has also been available in stores in the region. In 2021, a (very, very good) pilsner was added to the range.
