Welcome to Mühlheim rock cave

The Mühlheim rock cave is a small stalactite cave. It is accessed via a staircase. It is closed and only open on Ascension Day/Father's Day and Cave Day, or for groups by appointment. A special feature of the 134-meter-long karst cave near Mühlheim an der Donau are the partially snow-white stalactites and a natural sinter basin resembling an altar. It was discovered by local speleologists as early as 1912. However, the cave can only be visited with a guide. The contact person is the Mühlheim local group of the Swabian Alb Association (https://heubergbaar-gau.albverein.eu/region-gau/muehlheim/). The Mühlheim rock cave is an official geopoint of the **[UNESCO Global Geopark Swabian Alb](https://www.geopark-alb.de/geopark-erleben/reise-in-die-erdgeschichte/)**.
