Welcome to Fridingen hydroelectric power station

Danube power station near the mouth of the Danube, commissioned in 1923.

The Danube or Bärawaaser is dammed at a weir and fed to the power plant through a canal.

The power plant is still in operation today and has recently been modernized.

It recently generated up to 4.5 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year. With the help of new turbines and generators, it will now be possible to produce up to 6 million kilowatt hours of climate-friendly electricity in the future. This will be enough to supply several thousand people with electricity.
