As a museum, its layout and appearance today reflect the typical condition of all houses built in Tuttlingen in 1803/04. In an exemplary civic initiative, the Tuttlingen house was repaired and restored in the early 1990s. As a museum, it now reflects the typical layout and appearance of all houses built in Tuttlingen in 1803/04. It is the only house in which these characteristic architectural features can be viewed by the public. In this way, it provides insights into the living conditions of Tuttlingen's farming citizens in the early 19th century. A circular route leads through all floors from the basement to the attic.
